First time?

We want to do everything we can to make you feel welcome at Freedom Church. Here you can find all the information you need about coming along for the first time, get in touch if we’ve missed anything out!

What time does it start?

We meet at 3:45pm for free tea & coffee, and our meeting begins at 4pm.

Where is the church?

We meet in Maghull Chapel, 85 Foxhouse Lane, L31 6EE.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable to come to church however you are. There’s no dress code! You’ll find most people arrive in casual clothing, but if you like to dress in a more formal manner, you are more than welcome!

Where can I park?

Parking is available on site at the chapel, just follow our big yellow flags!

Can I bring children?

Definitely! We have Freedom Kids which caters for all primary aged children and starts after the first few songs, check out our Freedom Kids page for more information. If you’re coming along for the first time and have a child who wants to take part in the group, just chat to someone on the door. We do not have staffed creche provision; however, we do have a separate room designated for creche aged children that is connected to the speaker system, meaning you can still listen to the preach even if you would like to take your children out during the service.

Thinking about attending one of our Sunday meetings? Not sure where you’re going? We have a whole bunch of people who would love to greet you if you’re attending for the first time. What should I expect?

Welcome & Worship
Our meetings start with a time of sung worship and celebration. This normally lasts 20-25 minutes and will be directed from the front. All the words are on the screen so if you want to, you can sing along. We encourage you to relax and engage at your own pace, so don’t worry if that means not singing at all. After worship we share some announcements, which may include stories, information and upcoming events.

Teaching
Normally after worship we have a talk from one of our church leaders or a guest, which usually lasts for around 30/35 minutes. Our talks are challenging, bible-based, and applicable to all of our lives. At the end of the talk we often provide an opportunity to respond. This may be an offer to receive prayer for something specific in your life, or an invitation to start on a journey with Jesus. The important thing is that there is no pressure at all. If you would like to listen to an example of one of our talks, check out our YouTube channel.

Connecting
If you’ve come along for the first time, don’t leave without saying hello! There’s plenty of people at Freedom who love to chat, and we hope that you would be made to feel very welcome.
